Who are NextGen accounts for?
The NextGen app is designed for children 5-17 years old. Each child, at least 5 years old, is eligible to receive a First Bank Hampton branded BusyKid Visa® Prepaid Card which can be used to make purchases in stores or online.
Is there a cost to enroll in the app?First Bank Hampton is proud to offer the NextGen app free of charge. This is an opportunity to educate the next generation with a hands-on app that is both engaging and educational.
Can I enroll more than one child?Families can enroll up to 5 children on one account.
Is the NextGen app safe?
NextGen accounts are FDIC&-insured up to $250,000. Parents can get real-time account transaction notifications and can follow all activities through the app.

Are Parents Still Involved?
Yes. NextGen app is designed for kids and teens to experience what it's like to earn and manage their own money. However, parents are still involved in any money transactions inside the app and must provide approval before funds can be used outside the platform for spending, donating or investing. Plus parents can see all transactions inside the app activity feed and receive necessary notifications.
